Life Changes

Happy Thursday, man am I tired. I am always so exhausted now. I decided today that I am going to withdraw from school this semester. I have way too much going on to focus enough to study the way I need to. I think between losing a baby, my grandfather and a 17 going on 18 year marriage has taken it's toll and a break is very much in order. I am going to take this time to focus on my business and fitness. I mean.... I live for this stuff. I walk away from almost every workout wanting to the next time train harder and eat cleaner to maximize my results. Even with my many injuries and limitations I am absolutely in awe of how strong and capable my body is and I just want to take it to it's fullest potential. I have been working on modified moves for woman like myself with knee and ankle limitations that can yield the same results as other moves,..... which is sort of my niche...which I didn't want to have but, why run away from it if I can help...ya know. That's my answer to aging always...ruuuunnnnnn!!! lol But It really makes me happy. So that is what I am going to be focusing on.

Building my brand and reach as a coach to help so many more woman and taking my body, fitness, nutrition and spirit to the next level. I mean, at it's essence that is what this coaching thing is truly about... Living at your fullest potential on the highest frequency of fulfillment and happiness and then paying it forward.... Happy Thursday :)

A Fresh start

I have been on and off with my blogging for a while mostly because of some personal issues. My grandfather died, my husband and I separated and I lost a baby all in a matter of 2 weeks. But the events leading up to the later part of those of events were troublesome and kept me very distracted. So now that it is all said and done I am finally finding my bearings. I have settled in a new apartment which I love very much. I just have to work smart to make sure I can keep it. I haven't been this independent in a very long time and I feel like it was something that I needed. I was feeling so lost in my marriage and alone. Don't get me wrong my husband is a great guy and he provided me and our children a wonderful life but, as the children grew up, we grew apart and started to want different things. But most of all I was completely lost, I was going through the daily motions not really looking forward to anything anymore, so I am ready for this new adventure in my life. I am looking forward to learning how to budget on my own and focusing more on my own growth so I can be a better wife (again someday) mother (hopefully again someday soon), person and coach.

I just pray that God will walk with me and guide me in all I do. Left to my own devices I tend to have shoddy judgement. I mean...don't we all...lol So for my inner growth I have my personal development; audio books I listen to. I am currently listening to "the 10x rule", the bible, church and God of course, for my outer growth I have body beast (the program I will be following for the next 90 days) and preparing for my second half marathon. I pray God will help me get focused and take it one day, one meal and one workout at a time. Do not allow me to get to ahead of myself because it can be discouraging and overwhelming. Help me enjoy the process and the journey, paying attention to the little successes along the way and celebrating the big ones in a huge but healthy way. Focusing on my inner growth and expressing it as outer beauty. And to continue to be an inspiration to the women that follow me, offering them guidance, advice, encouragement, a chance to finally change their lives and a place to belong.- Amen

Get outdoors

When the weather starts to break the first thing I think about is what outdoor activities I want to add to my routine that I can do with my family. Number one because it takes the pressure off of me trying to figure out what my workout is going to be for that day and it makes it more fun by including my family. The best part is I can make it a whole big event by making a day of it with them. For example, I love our weekend family hikes (when they don't bail on me) we get frozen yogurt after and then we hit all of my favorite health food stores: trader joes, sprouts, and whole foods. This way my workout is fun, it includes the ones I love and I get my meal prep shopping done all in the same day. The added plus is, we are more likely to make healthy food choices the rest of the day because of how we started it. Find something fun to add to your routine this season because working out should be enjoyable. Not only will it give you something to look forward to all week but it will help you get that much closer to your goals. Happy Saturday :)

One foot in front of the other

Got my shopping done to meal prep for this week. I totally didn't feel like trying this week. My mood is still up and down and all I want to do is eat chocolate. But I went for a run/walk in my new hood and it totally sparked something in me. After that run I moved a bed and got some healthy eats for my week. Sometimes it's just that's simple. Putting one foot in front of the other until you start to feel it or feel anything for that matter. Have a great evening ladies💛

My life

So my life has been a little crazy. My husband and I are separating so moving is what I've been doing all day. Moving and stress eating. So there's a little insight into my life and why I've been so MIA and emotionally spent. I have been sadly putting weight back on because of it. UGH!!! I'm hoping after the move I can get my head back on straight. I can't even workout because of some medical issues I am having. Meditation and prayer, that is what i need right now. When all else fails, get quiet and take it to God. Anyways, that's where I am at. Have a great weekend.
